Heee... we've just made almost identical picture entries! :-))

Paul looks thin in these pictures...

Still very pretty!

I haven't looked at yours yet! RL is clearly sucking my LJ time way too much.

Paul is living proof that you don't have to be twenty-two to be beautiful *stares*

For a while I thought he was like Dorian Gray or something. Now I think he's ageing, but like a fine Cabernet. Or something. Certainly not like us normal people.

I think my favourite thing is the creases round his eyes. And the having his mouth open so often.

Aren't they lovely?

And the having his mouth open so often.

Mnfrgh. Loveliest Mouth on the Planet TM.

If you went by the picspam I usually post, you'd think he had his mouth open all the time, because I tend to post those kind of pics.

You're spying on me, right? Those were pretty much my words exactly. Well, okay, not exactly. My words were actually "Holy shit."

Um, okay. I know I'm a little late to the Paul Gross party, but he is PRETTY. :D

I'm glad you snagged them. The guy apparently got peeved about the traffic or downloading or whatever, because they're no longer available on his site. Hope you'll share the rest later.

Oh, wow. I'm glad I didn't wait until I got back to post. And I think I saved all of them. Close enough, because some were so similar as not to matter much.

Addendum: The page is back up again, but the pics all have a giant watermark on them. Shutting the barn door after the horses have escaped, or something. *is smug*

The only problem with these pictures is that they were taken in Calgary and NOT IN TORONTO. Not that I'm really complaining, nope, because gah, it's Passchendaele, fergodsake. The other pics, with the set and all? This could be one heck of a movie, and it HAS to be at next year's TIFF. If so, I'm SO there.

The guy should be severely chastised for putting a watermark over Paul's mouth! That's just wrong.

Since I saw these about ten minutes after I got up this morning, I completely agree with you.

Wow, I used to think he was prettiest young and started losing his looks as he got older, but he's wrapped around and started improving again.

* by which I mean -- wow! he looks even better than his average, which is still above the standard of mortal man! Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like I was harshing on him, there.

Paul has stages, I think. There was the Young Starlet Look, then The Fraser Years. Now he's moved on to a middle age that most men would kill for. Most women, also. I don't know whether to be jealous or turned on. Both, probably. *g*

I'm thinking suddenly that I'd really like him to grow out his hair. I think grey or salt and pepper or whatever it is would look good on him.

I would prefer his real hair color too - it's disconcerting to see that fake color on him - it just doesn't match his coloring. He is so ridiculously handsome. I am glad that I will never meet him because I would just blurt that out and then die of embarrassment.

primroseburrows at 2007-09-10 06:44 (UTC) ()
I think his current hair colour is pretty close to his own, but usually when one reaches the mid-forties there's at least a little gray in there somewhere (I speak from experience, y0). I think he'd look very nice with some silver, actually.

ruthless1 at 2007-09-10 17:32 (UTC) ()
I actually think his hair is a bit more faded. Remember that pic of him behind the camera? I know you've seen it. He is more of a mousier brown than the reddish hair they give him now. I wish I knew where that picture was. It's maybe from the set of Men with brooms? But it definitely wasn't dyed and there was gray in it at the temples.

This is the one, right?

There's this one, but I don't think it's the one you meant:

It's interesting that both of these were taken on the set of MWB (the first one is from the IMDB MWB page, and that's Chris Cutter's curling sweater in the second). Paul's hair colour looks different in each one of them, most likely because in the first one he's wearing light clothing during the day and in the second it's dark and he's wearing black. The daylight picture is probably closest, being natural light, and all.

And okay, now I'm being waay too meta. :D *resists urge to post Paul's Hair Through the Years Picspam (at least for now, anyway).

ruthless1 at 2007-09-11 15:05 (UTC) ()
ooh - you are good. That's the one - the top one. It might be the fact that he is in real LIVE daylight rather than movie or indoor lighting. I love that picture anyway - it's one of my favorites because he looks so real there. Like one could conceivably have a cup of coffee with him.
*rolls over laughing because we ALL know what me meeting Paul Gross entails - INSTANT PARALYSIS*

These ARE pretty. But sadly - they are lacking the signed quote that says "Dear Ruth - I luff you and we must run away together tomorrow - love Paul"
hmm - I wonder why that didn't turn up in the photos? They were there before....

Hmm, I hadn't thought of that. *g* The thing that gets me is that these are candids. He's got makeup on in the middle one because he's in costume, but not in the other ones, and they look better.
