Thanks for taking the test !

you chose BY - your Enneagram type is FOUR (aka "The Romantic")

"I am unique"

Romantics have sensitive feelings and are warm and perceptive.

How to Get Along with Me

  • Give me plenty of compliments. They mean a lot to me.

  • Be a supportive friend or partner. Help me to learn to love and value myself.

  • Respect me for my special gifts of intuition and vision.

  • Though I don't always want to be cheered up when I'm feeling melancholy, I sometimes like to have someone lighten me up a little.

  • Don't tell me I'm too sensitive or that I'm overreacting!

What I Like About Being a FOUR

  • my ability to find meaning in life and to experience feeling at a deep level

  • my ability to establish warm connections with people

  • admiring what is noble, truthful, and beautiful in life

  • my creativity, intuition, and sense of humor

  • being unique and being seen as unique by others

  • having aesthetic sensibilities

  • being able to easily pick up the feelings of people around me

What's Hard About Being a FOUR

  • experiencing dark moods of emptiness and despair

  • feelings of self-hatred and shame; believing I don't deserve to be loved

  • feeling guilty when I disappoint people

  • feeling hurt or attacked when someone misundertands me

  • expecting too much from myself and life

  • fearing being abandoned

  • obsessing over resentments

  • longing for what I don't have

FOURs as Children Often

  • have active imaginations: play creatively alone or organize playmates in original games

  • are very sensitive

  • feel that they don't fit in

  • believe they are missing something that other people have

  • attach themselves to idealized teachers, heroes, artists, etc.

  • become antiauthoritarian or rebellious when criticized or not understood

  • feel lonely or abandoned (perhaps as a result of a death or their parents' divorce)

FOURs as Parents

  • help their children become who they really are

  • support their children's creativity and originality

  • are good at helping their children get in touch with their feelings

  • are sometimes overly critical or overly protective

  • are usually very good with children if not too self-absorbed

From aukestrel:

1. When you looked at yourself in the mirror today, what was the first thing you thought?

I haven't looked yet.

2. How much cash do you have on you?

  • One $5.00 bill, Canadian, from my last trip north. Technically that's $5.05 US, but since nobody around here will accept it as payment, it's a moot point.

  • $1.62 in change, all US currency, as follows:

    • One $1.00 coin. The United States Mint is trying AGAIN to teach an old dog new tricks. They haven't figured out that the way to make it work is to stop making the paper bills. Me, I wish they'd start recirculating the $2.00 bill, because they're handy to have. I can get them at the bank, but that's about it.

    • One quarter.

    • One dime.

    • Two nickels, one old, one new.

    • 17 pennies. In 2006 a bill was introduced to eliminate pennies. The champion of the Save the Penny campaign? Kevin Federline. *headdesk*

    3. What's a word that rhymes with "DOOR?"

    Nevermore!

    4. Favourite planet?

Pluto, dammit (mr_t00by says that without Pluto, the mnemonic for the planets of the solar system is "My Very Excellent Mother Just Served Us Nothing"). Also Earth.

    5. Who is the 4th person on your missed call list on your cell phone?

I don't have my phone right next to me, but I'm pretty sure it's some random person from one of the five zillion travel nurse agencies that keep calling me since I put my name on some website for info.

    6. What is your favourite ring on your phone?

I almost never change it from "Don't Fear The Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult, so I guess that's it.

    7. What shirt are you wearing?

Grey sweatshirt, aka what I wore to bed.

    8. Do you "label" yourself?

No. The sticky-tape on the back hurts when I take it off.

    9. Name the brand of your shoes you're currently wearing?

    Socks.

    10. Bright or Dark Room?

    Depends on what I'm doing.

    11. What do you think about the person who took this survey before you?

    She's awesome, of course.

    13. What were you doing at midnight last night?

    Playing Clickomania. Erm.

    14. What did your last text message you received on your cell say?

I try not to get text messages.

    15. Where is your nearest 7-11?

I have no idea. There's one in Warwick, but I'm sure it's not the closest.

    16. What's a word that you say a lot?

    'Actually'.

17.Who told you he/she loved you last?

    Mary? Mary.

    18. Last furry thing you touched?

    My cat.

    19. How many drugs have you done in the last three days?

Two. Bwahahah. Three if you count the ibuprofen.

    20. How many rolls of film do you need developed?

What are these 'rolls of film?' of which you speak?

    21. Favourite age you have been so far?

The last Ice Age. That Wisconsin Glacier sure was pretty.

    22. Worst enemy?

    Myself.

    23. What is your current desktop picture?

This, changed from this one to reduce distraction.

    24. What was the last thing you said to someone?

"Don't get killed on the way home"

    25. If you had to choose between a million bucks or to be able to fly what would it be?

Are you kidding? Gimme the legal tender.

    26. Do you like someone?

    No, I hate everybody.

    27. The last song you listened to?

The Beatles - Because, which was the last song on Randy Bachman's Show of Awesome.

Hope that works for you. ;P

I think I must be a four also. those descriptions resonated with me.

That means a lot to me. ;)

It's an OK Cupid one. I didn't paste the info like they told me to. I fail at PR.

Ah, thanks. I don't dare venture into OK Cupid. I get lost there. ;)

PS you = awesome, still.

Christ, I look old, ugly and tired.

2. How much cash do you have on you?

£5 and 9p in coppers.

6. What is your favourite ring on your phone?

See 5.

7. What shirt are you wearing?

A 10-year-old white thing with beads.

8. Do you "label" yourself?

huh?

9. Name the brand of your shoes you're currently wearing?

Haven't the foggiest. Most of my shoes are self-repaired and thus unbrandable.

10. Bright or Dark Room?

To sleep: Dark, pitch black room. To Cook: Bright.

11. What do you think about the person who took this survey before you?

I think she is greatness.

13. What were you doing at midnight last night?

Asleep. Or perhaps fidgeting.

14. What did your last text message you received on your cell say?

Look, seriously, I don't have a cell phone.

15. Where is your nearest 7-11?

We don't have official 7-11s in the UK. And where I live, nothing is open past 5pm.

bye.

17.Who told you he/she loved you last?

Really? I can't remember. It's been a long time since someone meant it.

If you mean legal drugs, then 6.

20. How many rolls of film do you need developed?

None. I have no camera either. I'm a luddite.

Primroseburrows stole my ice age joke. I haven't really enjoyed an 'age' as a concept up until now. I look forward to perhaps experiencing that though.

Also myself. If it wasn't for me, I could do so much more.

23. What is your current desktop picture?

The bright flower shot I had before.

24. What was the last thing you said to someone?

"bye"

25. If you had to choose between a million bucks or to be able to fly what would it be?

26. Do you like someone?

In what way? I like various parts of various people.

27. The last song you listened to?

Is Mozart's Clarinet Concerto a 'song' as such? If not, then erm...I can't remember.

#26 is evidence that the original writer of the survey is probably about nine.

The drugs I took were Atenolol and Adderall, both legal. *g*

I failed to understand the "door" question.

These memes always make me feel bad about myself and rather self-conscious as a result, which is why I rarely complete them.

I took some drugs which I call "Near-death flu drugs"

I really should make a survey. I could do questions like:

259. Describe a favourite memory from your first year of life.

33 1/3. How many licks does it take to get to the centre of a Tootsie Pop?

42. What Would Fraser Do?
