Okay, so now that I've decided I'll definitely be watching the Olympics (since um. I'm not exactly contributing to corporate greed and/or theft of aboriginal land with a 17" laptop), I need to know where the best places to watch live online (for free!) are.

I know the BBC has online coverage, but not sure if they'll be broadcasting the whole thing or not. Also looking for places where I can see pre-recorded events, too, on account of having to work and not seeing important stuff like the opening ceremony and such. *sigh* Such is life without a telly.

Enlighten me, O flist?

If you find where they are broadcasting curling, will you let me know, Prim? It my one time every four years to get to watch it.

I think the BBC is broadcasting everything. At least it says it is.

As for non-Olympic curling, there's always Curl TV, which costs to subscribe, but apparently gives you a lot of bang for the buck.

BBC Sport seems to be the best option I've found so far. Hopefully there's access for North America. CTV's doing something, too, but not sure if it's online or not.

CTV isn't too shabby:)

Is it available south of 49, though? That's the question (since I just found out that BBC isn't available outside of the UK. :/)

Fannish Start To the Olympics: The sheer number of comments on twitter from Canadians watching the opening ceremony saying "Hang on, where's Paul Gross?", as though you just can't have Canadian representation in the world without him...Canada/Paul OTP.

As for your query: Sorry, not sure, as I'm fortunate to have the BBC (although interestingly I can't watch any live action online due to my lack of TV licence). I'll have a scout about.

They really said this? Awww, yay! <3<3

And now that they mention it, yeah, what's up with that? Did they not even ASK?
