How I feel about it all: shockedshocked
Soundtrack: Gunhill Road - Back When My Hair Was Short
patchfire, how do you cope with having this guy as your Senator?

The mind boggles that there are people like this holding public office!

*shudders*

Notwithstanding any other provision of this chapter, the Supreme Court shall not have jurisdiction to review, by appeal, writ of certiorari, or otherwise, any matter to the extent that relief is sought against an element of Federal, State, or local government, or against an officer of Federal, State, or local government (whether or not acting in official personal capacity), by reason of that element's or officer's acknowledgement of God as the sovereign source of law, liberty, or government.

How utterly scary.

Besides being frightened by that speech, I'm also mystified as to why everyone is blaming Janet Jackson for what happened at the Super Bowl, yet I haven't heard one word about how Justin Timberlake is a symbol of everything wrong with America, even though he was the one who actually did the clothes-tearing. Why is this?

I agree. Why wasn't Justin banned from the Grammys?

Maybe the whole "women are whores who lead men astray" schtick hasn't been completely killed yet.

I think he fell and hit his head or something, between 1998 and 2000. I really really do. Thank God he's retiring.

That's a scary Senator.
But since I live in the state that brings you Rick Santorum, I have no room to talk.

*boggles*

I have no adequate response to this.

This country is really beginning to scare me and I fear for the future.

We don't have the market on trying to make a State Religion, but we're giving it the old College Try.
