they drove him out into the rain; some people even said that the boy from the country was insane

How I feel about it all: okayokay
Soundtrack: John Denver - Boy From the Country
Okay. Enough of all this wibbling.

blondie1026 and her sister, Hannah, taken April of last year. I didn't take it, though.

mr_t00by on the bus to the Pride Festival this June.

Old stove outside my mother's house, taken sometime last Autumn. I wish it were bigger, because it's a really cool shot.

Barber's Pond, South Kingstown, RI, taken last Autumn.

Pumpkins at Schartner Farms, Exeter, RI. Taken same day as last picture.

And...a song!

John Denver - Boy From the Country. Lyrics are here.

This is the studio version--if anyone has the live version from the vinyl recording of An Evening With John Denver, I'd love a copy. The CD version left this song out because it didn't fit. Geh.

Ooooh, I totally love the picture of Barber's Pond! It and the pumpkins picture are just in time to inaugurate my annual "Please God Bring Me Fall" ritual, in which autumn-themed foods are eaten at my house, autumn-scented candles are burned, the air conditioner is run at autumn-like temperatures, and autumnal visual images are incorporated into the apartment decor as much as possible, all in retaliation against oppressive hot weather, which I hate.

Am also loving [Bad username: mr t00by]'s shirt. You've raised the boy right, Prim, there's no question.

*laughing* When will I learn to preview before posting? The "bad user name" is, of course, mr_t00by....

Believe it or not, the boy is straight. Unless all the girlfriends are just a phase.

I actually bought him a pin that says "I'm straight, but it might be a phase". Yes, I'm so very proud of him.

His future mother-in-law would like to point out that he'd better be straight.

Otherwise, he'll have to wait even longer to get married, as you & I will have to make him wait for Jacob...

I love your pics! And mr_t00by's shirt, but you knew that.

Sterling had the one that said Straight But Not Narrow.

I found a big batch of old pics a few days ago, and will be trying to put some up, and I think you will see what I mean about our sons looking alike!

Is your kid as mumbling and annoying in the morning as mine?

Sterling doesn't live at home now, but yeah, I can recall some times. He was the King of the Passive-Agressive Boys; that definitely has an annoyance component. :)

I think Isaac doesn't wake up fully until afternoon. A cheery "good morning!" will get me a "mngflrfg".
