I'll bet you think this song is about you, don't you, don't you?

Laugh or cry at them, I can't decide.

No, you're right. Laugh.

You'd think they would either have picked up on the "subtle as a 2x4 between the eyes" hints over the last three books, or developed a blithe disregard for canon, one way or another. Either works. Heaven knows other ships in other fandoms have gone along the "oops, we were wrong" path, or the "who cares what the creator says" route, or done both. This is just... weird.

Your Providence Journal comment cracked me up. THAT would show JKR!

Did I mention I went to RI not too terribly long ago on business and fell thoroughly and hopelessly in love with Providence?

Have you been to Swan Point Cemetery? Because you should. :)

Alas, when I was last there I didn't have the time to venture in, so I just drove past it and instead treated myself to a mini "walking tour" by several of the College Hill houses H.P. Lovecraft referred to in his stories. That's at the top of my list for when I return, though - and I definitely intend to do so! Thanks for the great link!

When you do come back, let me know. I work next door to Swan Point.

Oh, how fantastic! Will do. Maybe we could have an eldritch lunch together. :) Thanks so much. It must be a beautiful place to live and work - as I said, I fell in love with it. And so much history! (Poe, Lovecraft, etc., not to mention all the colonial background and such...) Thanks again - I'll definitely let you know when I'm coming back.

You'll have to see (at least from the outside) Butler Hospital (which is no longer called "Butler Hospital for the Insane"), where both of HPL's parents died.

Yeah, because I'm sure she looks at the Journal every day to see how things are shaping up in the RI General Assembly.

Maybe she'll give up writing for good and run for Mayor of Providence. Or even Governor. Or Senator!

At last, a political candidate I could support! LOL.
