Ugh. I've changed the rules - the ones that are bolded are the ones I can tolerate without hurling something at the radio. There aren't many - and the majority of those have some sort of high-school inside joke attached to them. :P I also have fifty-eight question marks. Obviously, I was born in the wrong decade. :>

Re: Top Songs of 1986

OMG, 1986 was my favorite music year! I remember that I taped the Top 100 on New Year's Day. I was just starting to get interested in music, so I wanted to know everything about every song. (Me, obsessive? What are you talking about?) I was particularly bonkers about the Eddie Murphy one, "Party All the Time". To this day, I tend to date music relative to this list -- did it come out before or after the year "Walk Like an Egyptian" was #1? NOSTALGIAFEST!!
robinhoo at 2005-08-24 01:36 (UTC) ()
See, I'm lookin' at 1975 and sayin', "Yick, this is what was on the year I was born? No wonder it took me so long to appreciate decent music." On the other hand, you got "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," which makes me jealous because, d00d, that song rocks.

I could search through every year and never find my bliss, because the good music never makes the Top 100, y'know?

Actually, after looking at 1961, well. There are some great songs there! I just don't like the fact that it was 1961, y'know? Looong time ago, and all.

Meh, the year we were born is a long time ago to everybody. And d00d, you got youngsexy Elvis on there! Never bad.
