That is the single most terrifying thing I've ever seen. Not even 9/11 was that scary to me, and why? Because this time it's our. own. government. The SuperDome has become the Warsaw Ghetto. I'm so scared I'm sick.

The SuperDome has become the Warsaw Ghetto.

Last week I'd say this was overreacting. I don't think so anymore. Even with all my disapproval of Dubya, I always thought, well, this is America, those things don't happen here. They won't.

Oh, but they do. *digs head out of sand*

That's exactly how I feel. And shit, yesterday I'd've said it's overreacting. But I'm sorry, when there's salvation less than a mile away, and yet people of a certain class (poor) and not of a certain racial group (white) are locked in somewhere, prevented from reaching that salvation.... Where's the difference from the ghettos of Nazi-occupied Poland and Czechoslovakia? Because that's just how they started.

I posted a link to this video in my LJ -- hope that's okay with you. I feel that people need to see this, because I would never have believed it if I hadn't seen it.

I wish everyone would post a link.

I was going to make a comparison to Stalingrad, but I chickened out. I probably should have.
