peacey is likely going here. Maybe even on my birthday. I'm already planning two trips this year, and that's not counting muskratjamboree. I was even contemplating a third.

I really shouldn't be thinking about this at all. Really. But would I not be crazy if I didn't at least consider it? I mean, look at this year's season, gah. I could see both Othello AND King Lear. On or near my birthday, which would definitely help me forget how elderly I am. Well, okay, maybe King Lear might remind me, but still. I'll keep me clothes on, thanks.

Dear Ontario,

Every time I think about visiting, I never seem to be able to go. Do you hate me, or is it just bad timing?

I'm sure I'll like you, despite what Stan Rogers wrote about you.

Love,

Me.

If I'm even thinking about this, it's definitely time to pick up some extra shifts. And get my bloody passport. Thanks a lot, US government. *glares*

Hey there - I went ahead and friended you - we have too many musical interests in common - because really - how many people have actually heard of the Flash Girls! Hope that's okay. I never post in my LJ - but am free with many opinions in other people's. Today is not a good grammar day though.

Yay! Another Flash Girls fan!

I don't think I need to friend you if you don't post in your LJ, but if you ever start, let me know. Feel free to opine away in my LJ, otherwise my own rantings will sound vain and self-centred, and I'm not really like that at all. :)

Don't mind Ontario. Ontario thinks it is the C of U (centre of the universe). I was born in the centre of the centre of the centre of the universe (downtown Toronto) and so I know.

Hope you get to go, though. Stratford is wonderful.

You mean you're NOT the centre of the universe? You, I mean, not Ontario. :) Apparently I've been looking in the wrong place for Ultimate Guidance, woe.

On a related note, I love this song, although shh, don't tell Ontario. I want to have the Arrogant Worms' little slithering babies:

The Arrogant Worms - The Toronto Song.

Having never been to Toronto, I have no idea why this song amuses me so.

Ontariooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sucks.

I know I've heard this before, years ago, but I'd forgotten its brilliance.

LOL! They even got "Alan Thicke sucks" in there. And Calg'ry sucks? :) Too artsy and left-wing for the rest of Alberta, meaning there's one wine bar and 3 openly gay people.

THREE? OMG, That's too many. One for a token so everyone can pretend to be open-minded but gah. THREE? The horror.

IIRC, k.d. lang wasn't ostracized from the country and western scene because she was gay (they didn't know it at the time), but because she was anti-beef industry. Which in Alberta is probably close to what it is in Texas. There's a parallel there somewhere. They both even have oil, woah.

I've never been to a wine bar in my life. I know we have them, but I obviously have not lived.

Yep, Taronna thinks it's New York and Alberta is a lot like Texas. Bunch of Mini-mes. Now BC and the maritimes - they are one of a kind. :)

Confession - I've never been to a wine bar either. But it sounded good. *blushes*

Did you find the id card?? If not, I can make you another :)

Nope, I didn't see it. I looked in the wrapper and around where I opened it. Maybe there's some unscrupulous postal worker who really wanted a badge that reflected his inner feelings. Or not, actually.

And yay, you'd make me another one? :)

Of course I would :)

Though if it didn't get packed with your card, and I don't have it here... hmmmmmmm, I wonder where it poofed to?

I will make it tomorrow and mail it out later this week :)

And oh, the DVDs are here! I haven't checked them for workage yet, but I'm not too concerned. *g*

The only one who'd stand a chance in any kind of dealings with Patrick would be... *thinks* Fraser, probably. Which would make for an awesome genfic. It'd be like Good Mountie, Bad Mountie.

I'll be in Stratford coaching in a fastball tournament in the middle of June. Or is it the beginning of July? Whatever. If you wish to see it and want some advice on where to stay, let me know. There are some nice European style inns downtown but I prefer to stay at a place called "The Festival Inn". I always stay there when my team goes to Stratford to compete. Easy to drive too. Not dead easy, just easy (you need to keep your eyes peeled in Kitchener to get on to Highway 7/8).

And yes Ontario is the Centre of the Known Universe. The rest of Canada freeloads off of us. (* Waits for thrown tomatoes* ) Seriously, though, I've lived in Ontario and out of it, and I'm starting to see more and more why it's the best place to be in Canada. And once upon a time I thought B.C. was the best place to live anywhere. Anywhere.

It's all up in the air right now, actually. I really shouldn't plan yet another trip, but I could drive, which would save me some money. But I really want to go! *stamps foot*

Tell that to the Capers. They'll throw fish at you. I don't exactly know how they feel about Ontario in general (because, well, I'm not one) but I imagine they can't be all too happy with Ottawa specifically these days.

Dear Ontario,

Thanks!

Love, Me.

P.S. It's raining here, too.

P.P.S. Congratulations on hitting 9.2 degrees. A new record! *pins medal on you*
peacey at 2007-01-09 15:14 (UTC) ()
Kel. Come here, darlin'. Let me give you a hug. There. Now sit down. Feeling sufficiently at peace? Because, ummm...my sister bought tickets for July 25/26 without consulting me first. She knows my calendar is chockablock fully of empty squares, so she did some research on her own and found those two dates offered the best seats for both shows. Normally, I would applaud her initiative (thus relieving me of my normal role of travel agent/party planner), but in this instance, I am devestated. Of course, you are more than welcome to come with us/meet us there, but alas, you'd have to sit away from us. I am so sorry, sweetie. *headdesk*

Oh, I'll live. I'm used to Not Going to Ontario. However, I could still go, if someone wanted to go with me. Or not. I'll consider the seat thing, too.
