I don’t know where I am, I don’t know where I’ve been, but I know where I want to go

Aaand now for the big reveal!

elementalv wrote A Partner Called Ray (F/K, PG) for me! And it's a crossover! And there's Dead!Bob, just like I wanted, and all sorts of wonderful other things, like good writing and everyone being all IC and all. Everyone go read it and tell her how cool she is.

Also, for the four of you who couldn't tell, my DSSS fic is First Day of my Life (F/K, PG-13, written for ximeria).

When I was frantically finishing it up (last minute as usual, at my mother's house on Block Island without my own computer or a room of my own to write in), I swore I would NEVER do DSSS again. IIRC, It's what I said last year, too. I'll almost definitely do it again, though. It's like having a baby, sorta. It's good pain, it's creative pain; the kind that's forgotten as soon as it's done.

This is the video that inspired the thing, and even though I've linked to it before I'm doing it again because it's such a beautiful vid that everyone needs to see it (and I dare you not to get at least a little teary, in a good way):

And eep! I almost forgot! dragonflymuse, I got your present! I love it! I'm going to stick it on my new coat and confuse the heck out of my co-workers. *hugs and twirls*

Hee ~ I thought you would like it :)

I am, liek srsly, working on getting myself to RCW139. I actually checked plane fares and hotel rates and might have two folk lined up to share a room (which leaves space for a fourth = UUUU!) and plz COME COME COME COME!!!!!!

/begs forgiveness for use of caps and exclamation pointies

I'll be there at the same time as RCW139, because can_con2008 is at the same time. Of course, I could do both, and so could youuuu! Gimme specs on room prices and I'll let you know. I usually stay at Clarence Castle when I'm in Toronto (read: all TWICE I've been in Torono), so if the hotel thing doesn't work, Clarence Castle is under thirty bucks per night (US and CDN both because they're at par, eh?).

Hmm ~ I hadn't heard of that gathering :)

I was planning on staying at the hotel where the convention is being held; I'd told the organizers that providing I could make it I would help with some of the events (and maybe babysit assist a celeb guest ::cough::MARCIANO::cough::). The hotel is average hotel-y costs, which estimates out at $150 per night per roommate (on a three day stay; in on 15th and out morning of 18th). So, not as cost-effective as Clarence Castle, but zero commute to the events :)

can_con2008 is the brainchild of nos4a2no9. More info is here. It's sort of a con-ette. Con-ini? I'm pretty sure there are people doing both. I'm going to be in Ontario three, count 'em, THREE times between July and September, two of which within a month of each other.

I'd still like to do Celtic Colours, but gah. I don't know if I can get that much holiday time. Ironically, if I don't stop going to Canada so much I may never see Cape Breton again. Wah. But hey, it beats heroin.

I have so much love for that vid. It's awesome even when it's not being the Post-COTW theme song (I mean, it SO is!).

I think it's my favourite video ever. The elderly lady makes me weepy every time I see it 'cause I always think she's a widow remembering how much she loved her husband (in a good kind of wistful way, like my mom does). Also the pregnant woman. :D :D

P.S. My qiviut hasn't come yet (I ordered this colour). When it does I'll let you feel it.

Also? You can read the story if you've already seen all of due South, otherwise wait until you do 'cause it's got all kinds of spoilers.

I would love to read the story but I figured if I don't know the abbreviations right away then I should leave it alone until I do or else I might be upset that I didn't wait. That show is definately actually on my list of shows-to-watch which is under my list of books-to-read. Promise, promise that I'll catch up. I might start downloading it tonight if all goes well with the internet and what not.

Oh! And by the way, that's a beautiful colour of qiviut! Personally I'd be happy with a calf (that's what they're called, yes?) but the yarn looks gorgeous.

And I'm downloading seasons 1-4 as we speak but I think Isaac may copy them for me first? I dunno, ask him. :) -excited-
