Tarnish notte the majesty of my TOWER of HATS

I think you should go to Quebec. It's got more history than you could shake a stick at or want to. Email for a Quebec Guide, too, and see what walking tours there are and stuff. I highly recommend being guided through the old city, because then you get to look at stuff like a cannon ball engulfed by a tree and know which things are haunted and learn how many times Notre Dame des Victoires was blown up. :D Fun facts!

Even if the French thing is hard, you will still have a blast. Or tool around Ontario and look at stuff! My friend has a book called "100 Unusual Things To See In Ontario"... you could get that and road trip it. :D

I ordered the Ontario guides and will order Québec ones. I stuck the book on my wishlist and will order it also. Whee!

And yeah, if everything else were equal I'd definitely pick Québec. I'm still a little freaked out about the language thing (I'm going back to school in the fall and will be taking French as my required language, lot of good that'll do me in the summer), but hmm. We shall see!

Money is also an object. I usually stay in hostels--it's a great, cheap way to travel if you research them really well. Even if I end up picking a place to go after I get to Ottawa, I'll still be good. My best holiday was in 2007, and basically I pointed the car and drove. This time I'm renting a car, so hopefully I'll get one with unlimited mileage.
